He was a very good friend to me . He helped me learn how to frame when I first started out . We did many jobs together and always had fun doing it . He had a great outlook on life . We would talk on the phone for hours . I can't believe he is gone . God bless him and his family . We will meet again my friend .. love ya Mark Gates your friend forever

My heart broke to hear Mark was called home to our Lord so soon. I have many fond memories of the entire Landavazo crew in our living room laughing, joking or simply watching tv. How lucky you were to have found each other. Though I didn't get the chance to know Mark well after you met in college, I always knew you were perfect together. My heart breaks for you and your boys, but I have a feeling he will always be with you, probably when you least expect it, and likely with that infectious smile.

My brother Joel Young was a dear friend of Marks in high school and sometime after. I remember Mark being one of the nicest people, ever. His smile and his laugh along with his easy going spirit was infectious. I am overwhelmed with sorrow at his passing and pray for absolute peace for his wife, sons and entire family circle. There aren't many words that can express everyone's sadness at this time. May Gods blessings be swift and strong.

We are going to miss you Mark. You had a great sense of humor, the most optimistic attitude of anyone I have known and your laughter was contagious.
