Marsha Locklin Swenson, 62, of Georgetown, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 26th, 2014 surrounded by the love of her family. Marsha was born January 1, 1952 in Cameron, Texas to L.W. and Erma Lee (Cryer) Locklin. She married the love of her life, Dan Swenson, on June 7, 2001. Marsha graduated from Belton High School in 1970. She sought a career in the medical field and became a certified lab tech, working in microbiology and serology for seven years. She then returned to college and graduated from San Antonio College School of Nursing, earning her certification as a Registered Nurse in 1984. She was employed by Santa Rosa Health Care System and later became a nurse case manager, certified in rehabilitation nursing and case management. In 1999, she established her private company in nurse case management until February 2013, when breast cancer returned after a short remission. She was a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ. She was loved by the Church, her devoted husband, children, grandchildren, and step-children along with family members and so many loyal friends.



Survivors include her husband, Daniel Swenson, of Georgetown; son, Brandon Welch and wife April Lynn Welch of Oatmeal; daughter April Elaine Welch of Georgetown and daughter Brittani Welch of Austin; mother, Erma Locklin of Belton; brother, James Locklin, of Belton; sister, Ann Locklin, of Belton; step-children Bret and Tracy Swenson of Shakopee, Minnesota; Travis and Julia Taylor of Hutto; Wade Swenson of Copperas Cove; and Mathew Gerber of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Grandchildren: Noah Welch, Ruby Taylor, Joshua, Jacob, Emma, & Caitlin Swenson. Marsha is also survived by extended family Ellen and Don Zimmerman and Elaine and Dwight Hendrickson.



Preceding her in death were father L.W. Locklin, and brothers Loyd, Ronnie, and Jerry Locklin.



Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 2nd, 2014 at the Georgetown Church of Christ with Minister Ben Mereness officiating. Interment to follow at Friendship Cemetery in Friendship, Texas at 2:30 p.m. (near Davilla, Texas). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eastern European Missionaries, Feed the Children, International Bible League, Lifeline Chaplaincy, or Georgetown Church of Christ.
