I first met Jane Wren when I was 16. I remember how warm and welcoming she was to me. I also remember how easy she made it look to be the mother of three boys and how beautiful her home was. She was not a showy or flamboyant person, just kind and steady. I saw her during times of terrible tragedy, and she was the same then, too. Her quiet strength led her family through the pain.

She also had a great since of humor. One Christmas dinner, she set her 12 Days of Christmas glasses on the table. Each glass had a different verse on it, so each person had to sing the verse on the glass. We were terrible. So bad, we couldn't stop laughing at one another. That was a very Merry Christmas.

RIP, Martha Wren. I loved U for how close U were to my friend, your son, Randy. U were a lovely strength. U will be missed.

The Ken Leiman family would like to extend our sympathies to the entire Wren family. Ken, John and Jane went a long ways back and enjoyed golfing together as well as making real estate deals. Jane, indeed, was an exceptional lady. She will be missed by many. May she have everlasting peace together again with John.

We are looking forward to friends and relatives sharing their stories about mom tomorrow at our celebration of her life and her going on to eternal life, and also here online. Mom came from difficult circumstances, a family of very limited means to with dad fulfilling the American Dream of upward mobility, becoming elected the most popular girl at Amarillo High School, marrying Pop-- his biggest sale-- and building a successful life together. Any story you share about this would be very much appreciated.
