Mary (Cecola) Calabrese, 99, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center, just two months shy of her 100th birthday.
Mary was born in Vineland and was a lifelong resident. Mary was married to Frank "Foote" Calabrese for 39 years, prior to his death in 1975.Mary worked for many years as a cafeteria worker for the Vineland Board of Education. She loved ballroom dancing and traveled all over South Jersey dancing with her friends.She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She lived a full life and was loved and supported by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her son, Michael Calabrese and his wife Sandra;daughter, Jacqueline O'Brien and her husband William;grandchildren, Chris Calabrese and wife Cathyann, Jeff Calabrese and wife Sheryl, Michele (Calabrese) Wargo and husband Greg, and Vincent Calabrese and wife Anita;great-grandchildren, Christopher and Carly Calabrese, Gabrielle and Nicholas Calabrese, Zachary and Isabella Wargo and Clark and Anthony Calabrese.
A church visitation will be held from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at Divine Mercy Parish, 23 W. Chestnut Ave., Vineland.
Arrangements are under the supervision of The Rone Funeral Service, 1110 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery Vineland.
