Mary MacLeod Obituary
Mary graduated from Analy High School in Sebastopol, CA, before receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from UC Davis in 1947.
In 1948 she married Thomas E. Cheatham and together they built two homes and raised five children in Lodi. In 1973 they bought mountain property in Trinity County where they loved to spend time. In 1980 they moved to Sonoma County where Mary began a new career as a realtor.
Her favorite past-time was to play guitar and sing; she was also an incredible harmonica player.
She is survived by Claudia Brennan of Santa Rosa, Grace Doyle of Santa Rosa, Gwen McCauley of Lodi, Mary Doucette of Lodi, George Marshall of Santa Rosa and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Kenwood on Thursday March 22, 2007 at 3:00 p.m.

I only knew Mary briefly back in 1987 when she sold our house in Santa Rosa. We did not keep in touch after the sale, so I did not know she had passed. Just yesterday, I was tossing out some old papers and ran across Mary's business card that had her home phone number on it. I decided to call to let her know I still have a tiny gift she so kindly gave me. When the number came up as disconnected, I Googled her and found this site. Back in '87, Mary knew I liked antiques, so she gave me an old green, eyeglass cup which I still treasure it. My condolences.

Mrs. Cheatham was by far my favorite teacher at Woodbridge School. She was truly amazing! I am a second grade teacher. Mrs.Cheatham was one of the reasons I became a teacher.
My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.God Bless!!!
