Matthew Small

I used to talk to Matt in 2016/2015 over the internet, I am living in Switzerland and even though we never met, he was a dear friend of mine. we lost contact as it happens with life sometimes. I just listened to a band he showed me back then. After checking social media for him I am in shock to find out he passed away so long ago. Matt was a great artist who kept inspiring me a lot back then and actaully he still does.
With this I offer my deepest condolences for all of Matt's friends and family.
I miss you man. Maybe we meet again in the next life.

My daughter, Christina Bitson, knew Matt from his student teaching at Adrian College. I met him in April out at the outdoor kiln on campus. He was just as described in his beautiful obituary. Kind to others, lifting up those around him and always willing to help. He helped me find a few pieces of interesting wood to make artwork, before they got thrown into the kiln. His simple act of kindness made me feel like his friend instantly. My daughter enjoyed getting to know him and they shared many laughs together. She is devastated to hear of his passing. Prayers to all of his family. Heaven gained a beautiful and kind angel much too soon.

I miss you so much Matt and I'm sorry I couldn't make it to pay my respect. But just know there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. I'll hope to see you again. Much love

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of matts i only had the pleasure to meet him once but my nephews are really good friends with him and just by meeting him the one time he left a lasting impression on my heart..Rest in paradise matthew

Dear Laura Kirk and family ,
I'am Rachel Kelley's mom and I used to talk to you at Meijers Laura . I am so so sorry to hear of the loss of your son Matt . I can't begin to know how you feel right now . I do know you are not going through this alone . The God of all comfort is going through it with you and is right there for you and will not leave or forsake you ! I wish I had met Matt and could say I knew him . I'd hug you if I could but this is the only way to tell you I'm so sorry for your loss. Sincerely Judy

Prayers for your family!

I did not know Matthew personally however I know the family as I was a classmate of his Dad and Uncle. Knowing this his exuberance for life stemmed from his wonderful family. May the family be Blessed and Comforted with the love of the Lord to deal with the loss of a wonderful and young life.
