Melanie Doss

I knew Melanie from my teaching days at Fairview and got to know her better when we played the organ and piano together at Fairview Road Baptist Church. I loved her cheerful and sweet spirit and friendliness and enjoyed hearing Barry and Leigh and Brandon sing as she played. It was a sad shock to just hear of her unexpected going home . I am praying for the whole Doss family that God will comfort you.

She was a sweet daughter from one of the sweetest Mothers that ever lived. I am sure she has children that will carry on the traits of kindness and sweetness forever. You will be greatly missed but are Heavens Gain.

I had the pleasure of working with Melly for a number of years through EBD with Camden Fairview SD. Melly was always such a happy person. I always looked forward to speaking with her as you could hear the smile in her voice and her love of God and people alike came through in every word. She quickly became a friend to me who I admired and looked up to. I would always tell her "Melly, I hope I grow up to be just like you!" and she would just laugh and tell me I was just fine the way I am.
She will be missed, not just for her wit and smile but her intelligence and willingness to always help everyone.

We are heartbroken to hear of meanie's passing. Whenever we visited she was a shining light of kind words, smiles and friendship. We all remember the days of Summer Bible School and all the good times and how welcoming she was even for us "out of towners". Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you in this most difficult time.

I work at Ivory Primary. When I first met Mrs. Doss, she was the Sweetest Person . Whenever I called, She always knew it was me and we would laugh and talk and I talked with her about Camping. I will Truly Miss her. My Deepest Condolences To The Family.

I am saddened to hear of Melanie's passing. So many of my happy memories growing up at Fairview Road Baptist Church are times I spent with Melanie and the rest of the Doss/Patterson family. My hope for all of you is that you find peace to bring comfort, strength to face the days to come and many fond memories of a life well lived.

Barry and Kenny and family, I am so sorry to hear of Melanie's passing and for your loss. I have fond memories of attending church with Melanie and the Patterson family, often being in classes taught by Melanie and Kenny's mother, Shirley. During the worship service Melanie always played the piano and Shirley led the singing. What a team! Melanie and Barry have since then carried on that tradition. What a great Christian family! I am certain that Melanie has joined her parents in a better place. May the Holy Spirit support, comfort and minister to you during this time.

Melanie always treated me, Jake, and Byrdie like we were family. She was the sweetest lady, a joy to talk to, and her personality brightened up any room she walked into. She will be missed greatly.
