Melvin C. Myhre

Melvin C. Myhre, 54, died Feb. 18, 2008, in Midwest City. A memorial gathering with full military honors will be from 2-5 p.m. March 1, 2008, at the American Legion Post 170, 8608 N.E. 10th, in Midwest City. Services were under Barnes Friederich Funeral Home. He was in the wonderful care of Hospice Quality Care, Inc. for the last four days of his life. He grew up in Oklahoma City, graduating from Northwest Classen High School. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He went on to work at the Department of Public Safety for 10 years. He then moved on to work for the Department of Human Services for the last year of his life. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, JoEllen; his daughter and son-in-law, Melessa and David Clopton; and a son, Matthew Myhre.
