The Cassidy family of San Diego, California would like to send its deepest condolences to to Sister Merita's family and the Sisters of Social Service. Our mother, Virginia Carr Cassidy, age 91, met Sister Merita at St. Mary College, Leavenworth, Kansas. Virginia was from New York State. Their friendship was joyously renewed when they both were living in California in the 1960's. Sister Merita was always kind to our parents and family. It was a friendship that was deeply cherished. We celebrate her life, a life well lived, dedicated to God and her community.
Thank-you, Sister Merita!
