Michael Edward Cusher, 50, of Pickens, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Hot Springs, Ark. He was born Aug. 20, 1963 in Dimmitt, Texas, the son of John Cusher and Mildred Noah Cusher. Michael had lived in Pickens the last five years before moving there from Hereford, Texas. He was of the Presbyterian faith. While living in Hereford, Michael worked for Beef Tec in their feed lots. He worked for a short time in Idabel for James Conley Cattle Co. Michael loved to rodeo winning many buckles in the team roping events. He loved talking about old times and telling jokes to his nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Noah Cusher; two brothers, Roger and Sam Cusher; grandparents, Ferrell and Jincy Cusher and Esaies and Marsuise Colbert Noah. He leaves to cherish his memory, brothers, Don Cusher of Altus, Joe Cusher and wife Gayle of Battiest, Dakota Cusher and Cody Cusher of Altus; sisters, Cindy Cusher and Anita Cusher of Pickens; special nieces, D'Shayla Bohanan and Hillari Martinez; special friends, Pam Estrada and Lyndell Ludlow, along with numerous nieces and nephews who fondly referred to him as "Uncle Mike". Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow. Services will be held on Sunday, March 23 at 2 p.m. at the Bunch- Singleton Chapel in Broken Bow with the the Rev. Dorothy Vanhorn and the Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. Interment will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Hess Cemetery in Altus.
