LEE (Michael Herbert):
From Kalamunda and Midland to 15 hundred acres at East Nannup and 58 years. Your slogan as I was growing up along side you was "watch, look and listen". The days of sledge hammers and wedges, post hole shovels and crowbars, axes and crosscut swords, changed quickly to 090 Stihl chain saws. Cat D7, Cat 950 from R and N Palmers. New tractors, truck and trailer and hay equipment. Even with your day job you still made time to build a new house for Mum, after clearing 900 acres with D7 and 090 and production of timber and beef cattle. Richie and I decided to grow potatoes so you blew the stumps and cores for dams, picked up sticks and rocks and harvested potatoes for the next 15 years whilst still running your beef cattle. You watched the next generation of Lee family grow and they are Jayson, Tyson, Lauren, Nigel, Brendan and Damion. You leave a legacy Dad. Rod. To a wonderful father, always talking about the farm and the cows.
Will be sadly missed by all. Helen, Kate and Zac.

Our thoughts are with Aunty Syb and family.
We remember Mike as the very epitome of the farmer. Always talking non stop about cattle and what neighbours and friends were doing. We seldom knew who Mike was talking about but it was always entertaining. Tony and Kim Stone and family.
