Classic! One of my memories living near his house was when I’d run by and he and Ihde would be pumping tunes in El Torro, Mike would be wearing his sweet headband and yell out to me, you sure you don’t need a Busch light which he had in his vending machine.

I had the pleasure of working with Mike at Liberty Academy during his teaching days. He made it not feel so much like work though. He had that way of making things so much better and so much more fun. My husband and I are proud to have known him and are better people because of him. There will be many times throughout my life when I get stressed and I'll think of Mike and just chill, the way he would. For that and for so much more...we loved him and will miss him. My thoughts are are with his family and friends.

Mike,
I'm proud to be related to you, grateful for having known you, and staggered by all those who you've touched in such a positive way with your bonding humor and genuine spirit. As a father, I only hope my sons could give to the world the way you have with so much meaning behind your smile - we are all better for knowing you.

My heart breaks for the Prell family and anyone else who was close to him. He was a great guy to be around and always made you feel welcome.
In 2002, we spoke about moving to NY together to pursue our dreams. You wanted to do stand up, I was making music and we thought that NY was the best place to be. You never did take that leap with me but I wish you had Mike because I'm sure we would have had some great adventures together. You were a jack of all trades, a visionary with an entrepreneurial spirit and I salute your many endeavours.
You will never be forgotten Mike but instead celebrated in memory by family and friends for your humor, selflessness, authenticity and your mustache. :)
Rest in peace Mike, I was lucky to know you.

My prayers go out to all of Mike's family and friends. I went to highschool with Mike and played football with him...you were always guaranteed a laugh during practice. That continued in college when he was in Eau Claire and I was at Stout. He was an amazing person with a big heart and big personality that will not be forgotten. I know myself along with many many others can say they were lucky to be considered a friend of his.

Dear Prell Family,
I hired Mike in the car business back in 2009 at Russ Darrow Kia and Leroy Butler Ford. He was an instant superstar, everyone loved him. He helped us move into our home in Neenah, He volunteered to help us move. He insisted, That was the kind of Guy he was. Would'nt you know it he was friends with some of my relatives that also helped us move.(He was very popular). We played golf on occasion he was so much fun. I will miss him on the course but I will always think of him, 1 in a million Guy! May God Bless you Prell Family!!!

Larry and Kathy,
You have our deepest sympathy for your tragic loss. I know how proud you are of your kids. You were there for Mike this summer helping him fix up his new house. I didn't have the opportunity to know Mike, but it certainly sounds like he had a great sense of humor, a lot of charm and personality with a lot of great close friends. That shows you were wonderful parents and can be very proud of the way he was raised. God Bless your entire family as you deal with your sadness. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Prell - you left us too soon. Every time I saw you - you made me laugh and smile. I will remember you for your charm and quick wit. You were so happy to make the "Security" t-shirts for my daughter's 16th Rock Star themed birthday party. I'll cherish that t-shirt forever. To the family - thank you for raising such a wholehearted all around stand up good man. My heart goes out to you and hope that you find peace in this difficult time.

I'm going to miss you Chief. We called each other that, don't remember how it started. I met Mike when we worked at Banner Packaging together when he started as summer help out of HS, and remained friends. He was a great guy, larger than life personality. One of those few guys everyone was always glad to see, lit up a room when he walked in. Always made you feel at home, would always do a favor to help out a friend. I could tell a hundred stories about fun and crazy times we had, going out for dinners, hanging out at bars, his house on the lake. He gave me a ride from Oshkosh to GB to get my eyes lasiked. Singing karaoke at beer gardens to NSync Bye, Bye, Bye, going to the WWE pay per view in Milwaukee. Earlier this year, I won the CBS sports radio bracket contest, and the grand prize was having one of your friends as a guest on the DA Show. I now have a nice 15 minute clip of Mike relating some of our crazy adventures to always remember you by. DA passed along his condolences as well, and said how much they enjoyed having you on the show.
To me, this is not goodbye, but catch you later when you welcome me through the pearly gates, but I will miss you in the meantime. your friend always, Radar

You were like a brother to me. Because of a very special sweatshirt that your grandfather Russ Prell designed, and my mom kept for me since 1967, our families are forever connected. How you put together the donation of The First Ever Super Bowl Shirt to the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame was truly amazing. The TV interviews we did together were a blast. Words of thanks were never enough for you making me an exact photo replica of it to hang on my wall. I can't wait for The Hall to re-open next year and see "The Shirt". But, seeing "The Shirt" again without you there will not be the same. You were one of the most fun-loving people I ever knew. You calling me "Beens" always cracked me up. Heartfelt prayers go out to all your family and friends. I will truly miss you. RIP bro. Or... should I say... brah!

Prell, you knew how to make everyone laugh as soon as you walked in a room! No matter where we were you would always sing me "it's so hard to say goodbye.... To whhhhat" (you didn't know the words) Now I hear those words and think it really is to hard to say goodbye :(
And thanks to you and Matt for pretending to be my dad we had a scary Aruban guy show up in my room at 2am saying "your dad says he can't get ahold of you and your phone is broken!"
I didn't get to share enough memories with you, but all the ones I did get I will never forget!
You will truly be missed by so many people!
