Mike Hope Obituary

Mike got an invite to a party in the sky with reassurances from Simpy that "he'd smooth it over with Les". Never one to pass up a good time he left for that party 4/16. Cancer is bull.... His humour was always stronger than his physique and he maintained it until the end. Mike leaves behind his adoring, highly tolerant, wife Leslie of 38 years. Daughter Emily and husband Dan gave Mike his greatest joy via children Linus and Esa. Daughter Angela and husband Jonathan will continue Mike's penchant for sarcasm and useless knowledge. His sister Jenny and husband Barry will miss his clever wit and dry humour. For those that would like to raise a glass, please join us Sat 04/28 from 11-1pm at Speed's Pub in Ladner. We will be adhering to Mike's always refined dress code and invite you to wear your silliest T-shirt. Here's hoping his golf game improves on the other side......

Time always seems the enemy but can also be the great healer. There is so much comfort in remembering there is just a thin veil between us and the ones that go before us. We think of the Hope family often.

Condolences to Leslie, Angela, Emily and family. Mike we will miss you as a true friend and one who was so dearly loved by many. Mike had so many admirable traits and he had so many dear friends because he never let himself get in the way. Simply no ego, what you saw was what you got. RIP Mike.

Rick and I send our sincere condolences for your loss.
We didn't get to see Mike often, but when we did, it was always so easy to pick up where we left off. Mike's smile and contagious laugh will always be remembered.
