SEGAL, Miriam (nee Meirovitch). Peacefully, in her ninety-first year with her family at her side, on Wednesday June 15th, 2005. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Munis. Most cherished mother and mother-in-law of Livia and Dr. Martin Kerner. Proud and best Nana in the world to Alissa and Robbie. Predeceased by her dear siblings Clara Klipper (David), and Dr. Anchel Meirovitch. The family would like to thank the wonderful and devoted staff of Mount Sinai Palliative Care Unit for their dedication and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Friday June 17 at 1:45 p.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 229 Netherwood Cres. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation, 369-2222 ext. 1334.

Hi Livia,

I was so sorry to read about your Mother. I remember when you used to invite me to your house for lunch when we were at Shaare Zion. I looked forward to it because I never got a hot lunch during the day as I always ate lunch in school. Your mother would make such good things and it was such a treat for me. I remember how she doted on you. I guess she made an impression on me if I can still remember those times. My thoughts are with you.
