MOSES EN FO CHU Passed away at age 94 on June 24, 2007 in Fountain Valley, California. He is survived by his loving family, daughters Carolyn (David) Waitt and Beverly (Harold) Adkins; granddaughter Kristin (Paul) Konovalov; great granddaughter Anna Konovalov; brother Daniel (Vyolet); sister Miriam Char and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, June; their infant son, Alan; brothers, Joshua, Peter, Paul, Samuel, Joseph, and Timothy; sisters, Ruth, Rebecca, and Marguerite. Moses was born in Honolulu and was schooled in both Honolulu and New York. He was a graduate of Central Junior High School (Honolulu) and James Monroe High School (New York). In 1954, he moved with his wife and children to Southern California. During his business career, he owned Avalon Furniture Store in Kaimuki and Times Realty Company in Los Angeles. Moses will be remembered for bringing laughter and fun to every occasion. He had incredible talents for playing the ukulele, guitar and piano by ear and his great sense of humor and ability for cooking scrumptious meals brought hours of enjoyment to all. Moses will live fondly in the hearts of those who loved him. Services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2007 at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary, 2233 Nuuanu Ave., Honolulu, starting at 8:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity.
