Oscar Lee Eastepp

Services for Oscar Lee Eastepp, 88, of Pennington, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating. Interment will follow in East Prairie Cemetery. Mr. Eastepp was born Dec. 30, 1921 in Logan, NM and did June 28, 2009 in Lufkin. He was a retired teacher. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Harriett Louise McDuffie Eastepp; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Joyce Eastepp of Pensacola, Fla. and Vernon and Peggy Eastepp of Avery; daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Chris Burkholder of The Woodlands, Barbara Huitt of Kona, Hawaii and Rosaline and Steve Takes of Fort Worth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Syble Eastepp, Mac and Peggy Eastepp, Norman and Zelda Eastepp, all of Pennington, Jessie Lee Eastepp of Lufkin, Faye Eastepp of Porter and Annice Eastepp of Livingston; sister, Mae Reynolds of Possum Walk; six grandchildren and spouses, Derek Eastepp and Nancy Teague of Spring, Carla and Chad Ellison of Buna, Elliott and Deanna Eastepp of Borger, Sandra Huitt of Seattle, Wa., Anna and Fernando Garcia of Spring and Emily Burkholder of Lubbock; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Hiram Daniel and Eula Stewart Eastepp and brothers, Carl Eastepp, Carroll Eastepp, Lloyd Eastepp and Hoyt Eastepp. Groveton Funeral Home, directors.
