OGUNQUIT -- Patricia Jean 'Pat' Lord, 70, a resident of Ocean Heights Lane, Ogunquit, died on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Scarborough after a brief illness .
Pat was born in Wells on May 25, 1940, the daughter of Gerald J. LeBrun and Sadie (Hayes) LeBrun and attended Wells schools. She was a long time waitress in several local restaurants in the Ogunquit area.
Pat was an amateur drag racer. She enjoyed driving her '73 Chevy Nova, and for years could be found racing at the New England Dragway in Epping, N.H. She also enjoyed watching golf on television. She loved animals, especially her cat 'Peekaboo.' But spending time with her children, family and friends was most important to her. She was a member of the Sanford Bowling League for several years.
Pat was predeceased by her stepfather, Gerald J. LeBrun. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Donnell Lord of Ogunquit; her mother, Sadie LeBrun of Wells; five sons, Scott, Troy, Timothy, Jerry and Brett, all of Wells; a sister, Carol Mackinnon and her husband Sandy of Wells and Indiantown, Fla.; a half sister, Barbara Henderson of Everton, Ark.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; step children, Sharon and William and their five step grandchildren, all of Ogunquit; and two nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Rd., Wells; where a memorial service will follow at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Charles Whiston officiating. Interment will be in Arundel Cemetery, Kennebunkport. Arrangements are in care of Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. www.bibberfuneral.com.
