I thought of you often this year at the Sarcoid training. Your humor and witty comments made the training go faster last year.

I met Paul at nursery/preschool and we were in classes together both in school and Hamburg Methodist church for the next 13 years. He was kind, intelligent and had a keen sense of humor. God bless.

Just wanted to share with you how warm and welcoming Paul was when we met in February at our FSR Patient Ambassador's Training. It was the first year my husband and I attended, so nice to receive a warm welcome. He found out we were from Iowa and shared about being in West Des Moines, Iowa, previously for work. He also was very helpful and encouraging to me when we visited on the phone one evening earlier this month regarding starting a Sarcoidosis Support Group. His smile and kind helpful nature will be greatly missed with those of us that had the privilege to meet and work with him as Ambassadors for the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest condolences to Paul's family and friends.
I met Paul two years ago at the FSR Patient Ambassador training. He made me feel welcome from the start. We became fast friends and kept in touch by text, email and phone. What stood out to me was how Paul was always thinking about others. He would want to know how I was doing first and would always check-in if I was going through a rough patch. He actively sought out ways to help other patients feel less alone and to find them better medical care when they needed it. He was a true advocate. His actions were selfless.
Thank you Paul, for your friendship, your warm welcoming smile and your very big heart. You made a difference in the sarcoidosis community and your positive ripple effects will continue to be felt.
Sending my love and sympathy to your family who must be missing you greatly.

Unfortunately I only met Paul this spring at the FSR's Patient Ambassador Conference. I am from Wyoming and Paul and I sat and shared stories of his time in Wyoming. We just seemed to click. Although we had just met, I feel a deep remorse with his passing and I know he will leave a Void in the FSR Ambassador program. It was truly my pleasure to meet and serve with Paul.
