PEGGY HOOD

KERRVILLE - Peggy Taylor Hood, 69, of Kerrville, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 in Kerrville. She was born in Gonzales to Harvey Arlis Taylor and Edna Louise Taylor on Nov. 24, 1940. She married the love of her life, Jerrell A. Hood, on June 9, 1962 in Cuero.
Peggy went to school in Cuero and graduated from Cuero High School in 1959. She has worked in insurance and in the real estate business for over 25 years. Peggy was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville. Peggy had a passion for cooking and dearly loved her family. She would make each and every Holiday extra special with her zest for life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Arlis Taylor; her mother, Edna Taylor; brother, Donald Taylor; sister, Dorthy Taylor; and niece, Nancy Taylor Fox.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Jerrell A. Hood; two sons, Howard W. Hood and wife, Robin, and Jeffrey C. Hood, all of Kerrville. Peggy had four wonderful grandchildren, Brittany K. Hood, Hillary A. Hood, Shelby R. Hood, and Conner W. Hood. She also leaves behind two brothers, Douglas Taylor and wife, Betty, of Victoria, and Billy V. Taylor and wife, Rhonda, of Kerrville. She has a nephew, Yancy Taylor and wife, Holly; niece, Misty Taylor Jones and husband, David; niece, Carla Wolf and husband, Greg of Salado; nephew, Scott Chandler of Salado; great-nieces, Macy and Jessica Wolf; and great-niece, Taylor Jones.
A rosary will be recited at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Mass of the Resurrection to follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories in Kerrville.
Memorials may be given to St. Vincent De Paul in Kerrville, Methodist Transplant Hospital, or any charity of your choice.
