An open house celebrating the life of Peter (King Teh) Shen will be held on Sunday July 13th from the hours of 1-4. His son Leo welcomes you to join us at his home at 6880 Lemongrass Loop SE. Salem OR 97306.
Peter was born in Shanghai, China he met and married Cathy (Ikuko) in Japan and moved to Okinawa where he worked for the US Government in the Foreign Broadcasting Information Service and where they raised their two sons.
After retiring with distinguished service awards, Peter moved to Salem, Oregon with his wife to be near his sons who were attending Oregon State University and University of Oregon.
He is survived by his wife Cathy of 62 years, children Leo Shen of Salem Oregon, Dennis Shen of Portland Oregon, 4 grandchildren Jesse Shen, Brian Shen, Tyler Shen and Natalie Shen all whom reside in Oregon and 1 great grandchild Kaiya Shen as well as many friends throughout the world.
Peter will be remembered as a kind, generous man who felt deep responsibility for ensuring his family obtains happiness and success. Arrangements are by City View Funeral Home.
