In memory of
Franklin and Karolina Pike
February 23, 2005
Jesus spricht:

ICH BIN DIE AUFERSTEHUNG UND DAS LEBEN.WER AN MICH GLAUBET,DER WIRD LEBEN,OB ER GLEICH STUERBE. Joh.11,25.

Nein,nein,das ist kein Sterben,

Zu seinen Gott zu gehen.

Der dunkeln Erd'entfliehen

und zu der Heimat ziehen

In seine sternenhoehen!

May the memories that you had together be with you always.

With Deepest Sympathy

i am so sorry to hear about what happened. she was such a cool person to be around and i can see where katie got most of her personality from. as much time as i have spent around her, she has always seemed like an outgoing person. i know that she will never be forgotten and will continue to be loved by many.

Jack, Katie, Gisela & Tommy, I was fortunate enough to be at my daughter's home when I met your wonderful Petra. Out of everyone at that gathering, Petra stood out like a glowing angel. She has that beautiful smile and wonderful personality that would attract anyone to her. I was only in her presence twice; but she hugged me like we were old friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you. She will be truly missed by everyone. Rememeber,God takes the good ones first, so try not to weep, cause I bet she has everyone happy in heaven. May God bless you and keep you safe.

We have each been blessed and honored to have known Petra. We will miss that funny face and bright smile that she had everytime she walked through the front doors of the hospital. She never met a stranger. We learned so much about life from Petra Her courageous attitude, she faced adversity head on. She was an encourager, she always lifted up everyone else, she was a giver not a taker and she loved everybody. She saw the good in us that we ourselves missed sometimes. We will miss the jokes everyday. Petra had a new joke for us every morning. In fact, she probably has not even gotten all the way to heaven yet. I can picture her at The Pearly Gates with St. Peter saying, Wait, I got one more for ya!

Rest well, our friend. We will miss you.

Dear Jack, Katie, Gisela and Tommy:

I struggle to find the right words to say, instead I am overwhelmed by endless source of memories that need to be shared. Going to the movies, wonderful summer gatherings, early Saturday morning phone calls, dinners at Monterrey's, dancing, etc,...

Our Petra, she was and will be the "Rock" in our lives; steady, brave, strong, sweet, compasionate, considerate, loving, passionate, honest, smart, funny, talented. Whenever and wherever there was a need, she would be there to offer a helping hand, to lend an ear, to give a hug, tell a joke or even to scold when was needed. Wise beyond her years, joyfully she gave so much to so many with all her heart. I think she never realized what a gift she was to each and everyone of us. Perhaps now she knows.

Jack, thank you for being her angel; Katie, thank you for being such a wonderful daughter who brought so much happiness into her life; Gisela, you did a wonderful job raising her, and Tommy, thank you for being such a loving brother. Now we are left with the legacy that Petra left us, to give others true friendship, unconditional love and undying loyalty.

We love you Petra.

Just a few thoughts to share.

Petra was like no other known to us. Her kindness, generousity and strong spirit will be with us forever. Her passion for life and living every day to the fullest was paramount. Her thoughtfulness was unmatched. She never hesitated to make sure, even strangers knew some how, some way, things would work out. She so often shared with us, the "Life is too Short." quote. She has taught us the true meaning of this. Petra had a way of finding and sharing the positive, in even some of the most unfortunate events. Petra saw good in everyone, she had this special, special way of making you feel good about yourself. Petra told me once on a surprise visit to my house, upon opening my door and finding her standing there, I said "Oh, I didn't know you were coming, my house is a mess!" She said, "I didn't come to see your house, I came to see you." Petra has made a tremendous impact on my life in just the few short years I've known her. I know she has touched many, many other lives in such a special way, as she did ours. The times we spent together will always be treasured. Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you all. Love,
Fannie Grant
