I found it difficult to write on here after Phil's passing, I could not find the words. But I just wanted Krysta and the LeBlancs to know that it is a monday afternoon and I am thinking of Phil. I miss him all the time and I think it is important for you all to know that his memory is alive and well in all of our hearts today and everyday..xo Miss you everyday buddy

April 16, 2009

Hi Buddy.

I miss you so much.

Today is your twenty-fifth birthday. I thought getting your gift last year was hard, but writing this to you is unbearable.

I think about the last time I was with you every day. There are so many parts of that memory that I am overwhelmingly thankful for.

You are the most incredible person and wonderful man. I am so lucky to be in love with you, and I still don't know what I did to deserve you. I can't thank you enough.

You will probably laugh at me for this.
If I could have just one granted wish, it would be to have your arms around me one more time. I will never forget the way you look, I will never forget the sound of your voice, I will never forget your laugh. But I am afraid that I will forget the way you feel.
I don't think it's asking too much.

I have never been good at expressing myself through writing. But I came across this poem and I thought it was beautiful. It is written as though you are the author speaking to me. There is one part which says just about exactly how and what I have come to believe;

"And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me."

I dream about this day every day and I wish it was now.

I love you Philip LeBlanc, with all my heart.

Dear Claude, Lynn, Patrick and Melanie

I only learned today on Easter Sunday of the passing or your beautiful son and brother, Philip.

My heart goes out to all of you at this extremely difficult time. I have many fond memories of Phil while Dave and I were your next door neighbours. He was such a wonderful boy and such a great role model for young children. I always remember him being such a polite, young boy who was very athletic. He would play outstide for hours on your driveway (playing road hockey, basketball, tennis). He was so good with all the other children and always enjoyed life to the fullest and in a fun and loving way.

You are in Jeff (my husband) and my thoughts and prayers.

It has been very difficult for me to look at this page without crying for the loss of Phil. It feels as though I am finally coming out of the haze of the shock. Phil meant so much to me, Geoff, Coby, and to our NTS family. It is hard to picture NTS without his wonderful aura. I loved his deep warm voice that exuded calmness and confidence all in one. I loved his smile that touched so many. I remember taking the tennis course with Phil at the OAC so many years ago, and him being so young and ready to help me, or the others when ever he saw someone might need a hand. I know for Geoff he was like a little brother, he started teaching Mel when she was 6, and Phil I think was around the age of 8. We saw him go from a little boy, to a wonderful young man, to an incredible human being. I tremble to the thought, that I will not see him this year or ever again. I want Claude, and Lynn to know that they made Phil who he was, and they did an incredible job raising their children, I can not begin to know the sorrow you are feeling. I am proud to have known Phil, and I am a better person because of it. Mel, I can not begin to know how to say how sorry I am that you lost not only your brother but your best friend. We love you and we are here for you, and all of you.

Love
Leeorah

P.S
We will always love you Phil!

Phil was not just a normal, everday person who you could meet and just be friends with for a while, he was a person who, if you met him, you could be friends with him for as long as the world was spinning. Phil could always make a bad day into an amazing and memorable day in just a few minutes, he could make anybody laugh, even in the darkest hour of the darkest day. Phil will always be remembered in my eyes as an emaculate model for others

Dear Phil
-you kept Tim in check
-you befriended Jeffrey
-you laughed at my quirkiness
But most importantly
-you loved Krysta
For that we will be forever grateful.
We are so lucky to have you as part of our memories
We are extremely fortunate to have had you share Krysta’s life with us
We are so blessed to have had you as part of our family
We love you, and miss you dearly

Dear Krysta
When you brought Phil in to our home, we were very happy to have him be a part of our family
We enjoyed his company, and we have always been so happy to see the joy and happiness from both of you when you were together.
We are here for you to help you hold on to the memories, and let go of the grief.
We love you so much.

Dear Lynn, Claude, Patrick, Catherine & Melanie
Phil was truly a ray of sunshine.
He always brought happiness into our home, because of his presence, and for how he made Krysta smile.
The love shared between Phil and Krysta is what every parent wishes for their children.
We thank you so much for the love and support you all have shown and given Krysta, for the door you have kept open for her, and the family you have made her apart of.
Our prayers are with you

To the Leblanc family,
Phil was not only my tennis camp instructer but he was my friend, one of the most memorable friends I will ever meet. When I go to tennis camp he would brighten up my day by making me laugh and by telling me funny stories. I would go to tennis camp to have fun and Phil made tennis camp the best camp in the world. He will never be forgotten.

Phil was a great inspiration to me since the first time i met him 8 years ago during my first week of tennis camp. He was an excellent teacher and helped me in so many ways. It was his kindness, creativity, respect and most importantly his friendship that kept on bringing me back to camp. He'll always be a great friend to me.

He meant so much to so many people. We pray that you will find comfort in the support of family and friends. To Claude and his family, please accept my sincerest condolences.

While I didn't know Phil all that much, he left his impression on me. I had some tennis lessons with him. He was such a good teacher. What struck me was how interested he was to hear how my game was progressing, even after the lessons ended. He never stopped wanting to help. I won't ever forget that.

Phil, I know you're in a better place now. Rest in peace.

To Phil's Family, Friends and Loved Ones,
The many thoughts and prayers expressed in this Guestbook really express the love that surrounded Phil. I grew up with Phil through Seton to Mother Teresa, but unfortunately never really got to know him that well. We shared many of the same friends and he would always give a smile and nod when we were at the same weekly Barrhaven house party or downtown Pub. Phil was a guy that everyone truly respected and shared a laugh with. He was good to his friends and strangers alike. I'll always remember him for his scruffy hair, deep throated laugh and, of course, a grin with a pint in hand!

I hope everyone takes a moment this weekend to remember Phil's great sense of humor, and laugh out loud, the way I believe Phil would want it.

I will raise a pint high Friday night and give thanks for the memories.

Cheers, to Phil.

For the LeBlanc Family,
After seeing all the notes from the various Photolab people, I wanted to share with you that I'm sure they all feel the same way. I know that they are all deeply grieving with you by all the texting going on. My daughter, Diana worked with Phil for most of the time he was there. I remember her saying " Today will be a good day because Phil will be there." They totally enjoyed all the times spent with him anywhere. He was a very caring, helpful and compassionate young man. You are blessed by having your son so loved and admired by so many people. I'm sure all the parents of his friends are feeling some of the sadness that you all are feeling and holding you high in their thoughts and prayers.Hold tight to your faith during this very difficult time and know that Phil will be with you each day. Today and tomorrow included. May God's peace be with you all and Krysta.

Melly, Patty, Claude and Lynn;

Phil was one of the most kind hearted, warm spirited, loving people I've ever had the priviledge of knowing. I'm proud to say he was in my life and the closest thing to a brother I've ever had.
He will forever be in my heart and I will always love him.

All my love.

October 2, 2008

Claude and Family;

Each one of you are amazing, for you all come from a stupendous family. Phil was a great guy, always with a smile, with a joke, with his love, which he shared with everyone he met whether they were friends of the family, or strangers on the street. He was always there to lend a helping hand.
I've been with him teaching the tennis camps, and working at Photolab, he always knew how to brighten your day, no matter what had happened prior to us, or him.

Remember, that sometimes the people we love most are taken away from us, to be used for bigger and better things.
This world wasn't ready for an angel such as Phil LeBlanc.
We all cherished the short time we had with him on this earth, and we are all grateful for every second spent in his presence, even though it was cut short.

Know that he is looking down on us from above, and will be able to help everyone of us from now on.
His love has touched us all, and will forever be with us, he will be our guardian angel for eternity.

I regret that I will have to miss saying my last goodbye, know that you are all in my prayers.
All my love,

Sid, Cecilia, Garrett, Ryan and Karen Smith

Dear family and friends of Phil,
My first impression of him I received while quite young when Phil was a concillor at Turtles Tennis Camp and he was of course one of the camps kids favourites. Since more recently reacquainting with Phil my only impression of him was one of an all around great guy with a great sense of humour and always a smile on his face who anyone would be priviledged to know. Dear Claude, Lynn, Patrick and Mel,

I'm so sorry for your terrible loss. I have very fond memories growing up with Phil and will always remember him as such a great guy, a good friend and always very easy to be around. He was cherished by those who knew and loved him and the world was certainly made better for him having lived in it. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to your family, to Krysta, and to Phil's many close friends.

Dearest Claudie, Lynn, Pat and Mel:
Phil was one of a kind, he was a bright light, everywhere he went. Always quick with a joke and quick with a smile, his warmth and caring radiated from him. He was always willing to give a helping hand (and fix up someone's tennis stroke). He was a true testiment of what a terrific family you are. It was our honour to have know him. Please know that you are constantly in our thoughts, our hearts go out to you all, at this time, and in the days ahead.
Lovingly, Barb, Ivan, Julia, Laura & Sarah Taylor

Dear Mr and Mrs LeBlanc and family,

Please accept my sympathies on the loss of your son. Although I did not know him, I had the pleasure of learning a little bit about him from Krysta and saw the beautiful photo of him in her office every day.
Dear Krysta,
