Owen you are truly missed here at JE...you always treated me very kind. I will miss seeing your face coming in the office and saying hi Sandraaaaaaaa!

Owen you will be missed by your Bellagio family. I'm sure there was an excellent glas of Merlot waiting for you at the pearly gates! RIP

My dear friend Owen,

You have enriched so many lives with your kindness, compassion, generosity, lovely sense of humor and beautiful soul. We are all going to miss you tremendously, you have touched so many hearts, I am extremely grateful to have shared such a beautiful and selfless friendship with you. I will forever remember you as the charming and kind hearted Owen I have always known and loved. I can never have a beautiful bottle of wine again without thinking of you! Baseball games will never be the same. You have taught me so much and pushed me to be the best that I can be. You have set a perfect example of what a true gentlemen defines.

Rest in peace my dear friend, you will be forever in my heart and missed tremendously.

You may have checked out early, but you will live on with all of us. When I think of Carolina, I think of you. We had some fun, didn't we. Yes, it was clear how intelligent you were, but as others have said you never pushed it and definitely knew how to be one of the gang. I am lucky to have known you and called you a friend. I will miss you. "Here's to Med school, one more year!" (funny, the Carolina women never fell for that...). Until we meet again.

I was blessed to have made a fast friendship with Owen through our association on the Board of Visitors for University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler School of Business. Owen also helped to make my wife feel very welcomed among the group for which I am very grateful. So, It is no surprise to see his obituary prominently mention Owen's charming personality and generosity as those are qualities that struck me about him when we first met only a few years ago. I only regret I will not get a chance to know him better. My prayers are with those who, like me, will have a large Owen shaped hole to fill in their lives.

I remember when Bill's brother came to visit his immense wit and humour and yes as you say in his obituary his ability to relate to everyone in the room - even us foolish kids who hanged out in the Mitchell's community basement. RIP. Many of Owen's attributes have rubbed off on many people to live for today!

Owen, I have had the pleasure of knowing you since the late 90's when I was a restaurant manager at the Toronto eatery Centro. You invited me into your home on a Sunday and for the first time I tried a Bottle of 1961 Chateau Haut Brion and Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Your kindness and generosity is what I will always remember you for. RIP Owen, you will be greatly missed.
