Reba Roxie Holland Singleton

Reba Roxie Holland Singleton, 83, Vina, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at Helen Keller Hospital. She was born March 10, 1927, in Vina to James Jefferson and Dona Isabelle Jackson Holland. She was formerly an employee of Blue Bell and a member of Hurricane Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Vina, with Brother Jerry Humphries and Brother David Smith officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are her husband of 61 years, Paul Singleton, Vina, Ala.; six children, Mary Frances Fowler (Jimmy), Corinth, Miss., Pauline Emerson (Steve) and Judy Miller (James), all of Hamilton, Ala., Roxann DeFoor (David), Moulton, Ala., Golda Mae Watts, Russellville, Ala., and Steven Singleton, Vina, Ala.; three sisters, Clarice Jackson, Red Bay, Ala., Nellie Humphres, Haleyville, Ala., and Cleta Ozbirn, Vina, Ala.; one brother, Phona Holland (Esther), Waukegan, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Singleton and a brother, Roy Holland.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jimmy Fowler, Jonathan Fowler, Jimmy Emerson, Colby Emerson, Joshua DeFoor, Jeffrey DeFoor and David Watts.
Visitation was 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
