Richard Barton Caldwell

I was a classmate of Rick's at Lejeune High in 1973-'74. Although I did not know him personally, I certainly knew who he was. The term "joie de vivre" could have been coined to describe him. Sad to learn of his passing. My prayers for him and his family.

I've known Rick since we were both still in school. He was at Camp Lejeune and I was at Jacksonville, High. We have stayed friends until he passed. The last time we chatted, he texted me and said he was coming back on the island. That was in June. I sure will miss the legend Rick Caldwell.

Our condolences to the family for your loss. I only met Rick in the past few years but I will always remember RBC - lots of memories of his kindness and very quick wit. We will miss him.

Rick is such a huge part of my adolescence. Haven´t seen him in years but I know if I had, we could have picked right up as if only hours had passed & I´d be laughing within the first 6 minutes. His friends in Topsail clearly made his life full. Kudos to the author of this obituary, you captured his spirit beautifully!!

I enjoyed spending time with Rick our senior year at LeJeune high school. Such a cutie and all around good guy, a bit on the wild side. My kinda friend.

I will never forget Rick´s awesome sense of humor and the memories I have of him. My deepest sympathy and prayers to his family and friends.

Condolences to your family and beach family! As I was looking back in LHS annuals when Rick passed, I had to chuckle at him as a member of the golf team! All I can picture is Rick and his board tricks! RIP,
