The last time I saw Dick I was 50 years old, and was introducing him to my Mother-in-Law. I didn't know quite how to categorize him because he was not family, but he was certainly more than a friend. When I hesitated at how to introduce him, he interjected, "I helped raise this boy". All I could think was, There's a lot of truth in that. I'll carry him (and his raising) with me forever.

Thinking of you during this difficult time--of sadness, may you find comfort in the sympathy expressed by your friends and love ones -- He was a wonderful man I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

You were a good friend. We had a lot of good times when we were kids. I'am sorry that I lost touch with you when I moved out of Houston in 1963 but I'am glad we were able to reconnect in the last few years. Paula and I enjoyed Pat and your visits when you came through Rio Rancho on your way to visit Pats son and family in Durango, Colorado. I'am glad you call me before you started your treatments so we could talk about old times and about whatyou were going through right then. I'am going to miss you old friend.
