I had the pleasure of working with Rich the past 14 years and never was there a moment that when I met him in the hallway that he didn't give me a smile. He loved to tease people, I remember when I first started working with him, he and Sam Hooshier had bets on long I would last in the department. When I would meet him in the hallway, I would say, You still here, and we would laugh. I was more than shocked to hear of his passing. I offer his family and friends my sincere condolences and may you all find peace. He will be greatly missed.

I was a friend with Dick long-long ago. As we drifted apart, due to jobs and distances, I have sometimes wondered where, and how he was. I am so sorry to find the answers to my questions in the way I did. My deepest regrets to all who knew and were touched by Dicks friendship.
