Dick Harrell was born to Virgil and Ellen Harrell in San Antonio, Texas on January 9th 1942. He went to be with our Lord on January 14th, 2021, at the age of 79.
Dick graduated from Devine High School in 1960. He attended the Shook school in his younger years. After graduating high school Dick worked in the oil fields before getting hired by Southwestern Bell until he retired after 27 years of service. After retiring from Southwestern Bell he became a long haul trucker, farmer and then owned a local water well business. He loved hunting, fishing and was a very skilled pool player.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Esther Marie Harrell: sons Ricky Harrell and wife Teresa, Ronnie Harrell and wife Beth, Rusty Harrell and wife Kerrie, Randy Harrell; grandchildren, Lexi, Aaron, Dr. Ally (Harrell) Zuercher and husband Dillon, Kat, Julia, Jake, Brady and Sydnie; brother Alan Harrell and wife Judy, sister Annette Herron and husband James.
Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Thursday, January 21st at 10 am.
Due to the new Executive Order from Governor Abbott, we are asking that everyone wear a mask during the visitation and burial.
