Robert E. Ferenz

Ferenz, Robert E. Roosevelt Park Robert E. Ferenz, age 76, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was born January 11, 1941 in Muskegon to Arthur and Annabelle (Bogner) Ferenz. Bob was a graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central in 1958 and earned his Bachelors Degree in Business from Baker College in 1989. He was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran and had been an accountant with Clarke Floor Machine for 16 years before retiring from Structural Concepts. On May 8, 1965, he married the former Kay Ayotte in Muskegon. Bob was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Muskegon Heights Eagles since 1963, and in his spare time enjoyed bowling, fishing, and golfing. But most importantly, he was his grandchildren's number one sports fan and attended all of their extracurricular activities. Bob was the perfect role model to his family and was a faithful servant to God by attending daily mass. SURVIVORS include his wife, Kay of Roosevelt Park; 3 children: Debbie (Glenn) Kendra of North Muskegon, Jim (Melissa) Ferenz of North Muskegon, Sue (Mark) Langlois of Norton Shores; 8 grandchildren: Rachel, Sarah, Kyle, Megan, AJ, Scott, Lauren, and Ty; 2 brothers: Don (Barb Ruba) Ferenz of Muskegon, Bruce (Janine) Ferenz of Roosevelt Park; brother-in-law, Jim (Gwen) Ayotte of North Muskegon; sister-in-law, Char Wiersma of Grand Haven; many nieces and nephews, and cousins; and 2 aunts: Madonna Bogner and Eddy Bogner. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Ferenz; and sister-in-law, Noreen Ayotte. The Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, followed by VISITATION from 5:30 PM 8:00 PM. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Thursday, November 16, 2017 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Matthew J. Barnum presiding. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. MEMORIALS to St. Mary's Catholic Church Endowment Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will be appreciated.
