Robert Fey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 6, 2025.
Robert John "Bob" Fey, aged 78, passed away on January 20, 2025, in South San Francisco, California. Born on November 12, 1946, in San Francisco, Bob was a lifelong resident of the area and a cherished member of his community.

Bob graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco and soon after began a distinguished career with the U.S. Postal Service. Known affectionately as a Mail Carrier, he dedicated himself to serving his community until his retirement in 2001. Bob's early years were marked by his industrious spirit, having maintained a newspaper route for the S.F. Chronicle during his youth, a job that earned him local recognition for his hard work. The newspaper even ran a story on Bob highlighting his diligence at such a young age.

Beyond his professional life, Bob was known for his easygoing and jovial personality. He was an avid sports fan, especially devoted to the San Francisco Giants and the Golden State Warriors. His love for sports was surpassed by his deep faith in Jesus and involvement with New Life Church of the Nazarene in San Francisco, where he was a regular attendee. Bob loved his church family.

Bob is survived by his cousin, Debbie McMillan (Jim), his nephew, Wes Russell (Christine), and other second cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Agnes Fey, and his sister, Beverly Fey Russell (John).

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00 am at New Life Church of the Nazarene, 300 Ulloa Street, San Francisco, CA. Bob's life was a testament to kindness, community service, and faith, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

We remember Bob as a kind and generous person. I enjoyed being his roommate from 1980-1986. He was always kind and understanding.
