Robert Fisher Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 18, 2022.
Robert (Bob) Elwood Fisher, a current resident of South Florida, passed away suddenly on June 7th 2022. Robert was a long time resident of Broadalbin, New York. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry Eugene Fisher and Bertha Dempster. Bob owned Bob's Auto Body Shop from 1966 to 1986, as well as A#1 Mobile Home Transport Service from 1980 to 2010. He was a long time volunteer firefighter at Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Department. Bob absolutely loved all things cars, trucks, racing and motorcycles. He was a legend in town for driving around his 1969 super sport El Camino. He was also an avid animal lover, and took great pride in his pet horses over the years. Bob is survived by his 4 beloved children: Penny Ann Zarcadoolas of West Palm Beach, Fl, Robert Elwood Fisher Jr. of Amsterdam, NY, Tracy Slezak, and Charles Fisher. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

Bob is still being recognized for his accomplishments in his life. His tow truck will be added as a display to the International Towing and Recovery Museum in Chattanooga, TN for generations to come. Bob's legacy will live on forever, as he will also be inducted into the Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame to recognize his outstanding and exemplary contributions to the towing and recovery industry. He will take his final ride up to the Daytona International Speedway and his last trip to Graceland to visit The King in mid-July. In Lieu of flowers, please do an old fashioned burnout in Bob's honor.

Dad, life will never be the same without you Thank you for all you taught me about working hard, for being an honest person who stood up for what you believed in, for never giving up even when things seemed hopeless at times. Thank you for instilling your live for music in me (especially your love for Elvis ) Thank you for being my mom & my dad and for the self discipline and self respect you taught me. Thank you for the over the top memories of racing around in your hot rod cars, motorcycles & trucks. Thank you for teaching me how to ride horses, dirt bikes, snowmobiles and how to drive everything from a unicycle to an 18 wheeler. Thank you for teaching me how to fix most of the above, for teaching me how to do auto body work, mechanical work, carpentry, electrical & plumbing. Most importantly dad, thank you for your love I always knew I was your princess, Penny Ann I love you & will see you one day on the other side
