Robert Gottlieb Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 2 to Feb. 3, 2023.
Robert Gottlieb (90) of Floral Park, New York, passed away on February 1, 2023.

Robert, fondly known as Bob, was born to Ben and Bertha Gottlieb in Brooklyn, New York in 1932. He graduated from New York University where he studied business and subsequently worked for over six decades as a sales representative for multiple furniture manufacturers including Heywood-Wakefield and Key City Furniture.

Bob was an avid golfer, albeit a mediocre one (at best). He suffered as a Brooklyn Dodgers fan throughout his early years before suffering even more during his middle and later years rooting for the Mets. Despite passing in the Bronx, he never rooted for the Yankees. Not even once.

Bob is survived by his wife Claire and three children, Douglas, Glenn, and Eric. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Maya, Miller, and Darien.

Bob's family will hold a private service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association in Bob's name.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bob was a very good Man. I knew him, as I sold Key City Furniture in my store on Cape Cod MA, and Bob was the sales representative. God Bless Bob.
