Robert Plecenik

Robert Plecenik, 66, of Monroeville, died Sunday Aug. 22, 2004. He was born Aug. 27, 1937, in Wilmerding, the son of Susan Dency Plecenik, of Trafford, and the late Andrew J. Plecenik. He was a retired supervisor with U.S. Steel. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Pitcairn. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leah Zest Plecenik, and a brother, Thomas D. Plecenik. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Robert M. and John, both of Turtle Creek; three brothers, Andrew J. Jr., of Florida, George, of Turtle Creek, and John, of Level Green; three sisters, Janet Wampler and Ilene Grando, both of Trafford, and Deborah Bracken, of Imperial; and numerous of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 602 Seventh St. (Route 130), Trafford, (412-372-3111), Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Regis Church with the Rev. James D. Tringhese as celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in the New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
