BELLEFONTAINE - Robert J. Walker, 67, of Rushsylvania, passed away Friday morning, July 6, 2018 at his home. He was born in Bellefontaine on March 11, 1951 to the late Dewey Carl and Emma I. (Johnson) Walker. Bobby was also preceded in death by his first wife, Janie Ann Miller, and several siblings including Sue and Becky.
A 1969 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Bobby was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Viet Nam Conflict. Bobby was considered a "Jack of All Trades," but master of none. Over the years, he worked on the railroad, was a bartender, cable installer, gas station attendant, census taker, and job coach. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. Bobby always loved to fish, play pool, and spend time with his family. He enjoyed going to the kids' sports activities, playing video games and watching movies. He raised many dogs, and especially loved Zeus and Buster.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jana (Titus) Walker. He is also survived by his daughter Brandi Walker of Bellefontaine; step-son Scott (Vikki) Beaty of Palm Bay, Florida; sons Clinton (Andrea) Walker of Bellefontaine, and James Walker of Rushsylvania; four grandchildren, Cody Walker, Sabreena Warren, Jaxon and Fenix Walker; a great-grandson, Liam Warren; and a brother-in-law, Dale R. Miller of West Liberty. Bobby also enjoyed being a part of a large extended family on the Titus side.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the EICHHOLTZ DARING & SANFORD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Bellefontaine. Inurnment, with military honors, will be in the Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
