Mack Wilson was a team mate of mine at Leon High. Our senior season he was the right offensive guard and I played the right offensive tackle position. When Coach Cox needed the tough short yards for a first down or touchdown he ran the ball between Mack and myself. The results were almost guaranteed. Mack was a great offensive lineman and that allowed our coach the freedom to allow Mack or me to call blocking scheme adjustments at the line of scrimmage to take advantage of the defensive formation. Mack was solid, steady and he made me a better tackle and team mate. Mack should have been in the Leon High School Football Hall of fame long ago and It is my deepest wish that he will be soon. Rest easy #60 I am proud to have been your team mate and brother on the O line. Go Big Red!

I am so very sorry for the loss of Mack. It was a total shock to see this on facebook. My parents went to high school at Leon High in Tallahassee with both of Mack's parents, Bob and Patty. We grew up seeing all of them at both Alligator Point and St. Teresa Beach in Florida south of Tallahassee. Sending much love and many prayers to Jeannie, Milly and the rest of the family.
