Rodney Thomas Gadd went on in his journey March 8, 2014. His courage and determination was evident right up until the hour he passed away. Rod was a man on the move and rarely would you see him sit still. He loved the open road and would venture to Yuma with his loving wife Myrna to escape the cold Calgary Winters. He was a devoted husband, dad/grandpa and uncle. There is nothing he would not do for his family and was the first one to lend a helping hand to anyone. His garage on Wellington Place was where he would build, tinker and fix things. He worked as a mechanic and then as a supervisor at Canadian Western Natural Gas Co./ATCO for 33 years, when he retired at the age of 56. Rod is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Myrna; his children, Trevor (Krista) Gadd, Terri-Lynne Gadd-Troidl; grandchildren: Samantha, Kendra, Jayme, Jordan and Sarah; his brother, Wayne Gadd; sisters, Shirley Martz and Joyce Miller as well as extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Brent Charles Troidl in 2012. His final resting place is at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. As per Rod's request no Funeral Service will be held.
