First I want to share my condolences to Ron´s children and family. I met Ron in 1973, when he coached me in baseball. Ron knew that I played hockey & baseball and that I liked lifting weights to improve my strength for sports. Ron brought me into his home 3 times a week with another player and he taught us how to properly lift weights, train and eat to improve our athletics, and it worked. I used to help him with his first fishing charter boat and learned many things from him. One of the things I loved was listening to him talk and tell stories about life. His family and my parents and our family became very good friends. Of the many things Ron taught me, the one I will never forget is how to `give back´ to others, how to help others who need help. I know Ron is in Heaven reunited with his wonderful wife and fishing!
I miss you Ron!

Ron was an an exceptional mentor and kind and generous boss.
Nothing made him happier than a chat with counsel he´d done Discoveries with, way back when, or a conversation with a newer lawyer employed at a firm that he´d done Discoveries with, way back when. He knew the partners of Niagara´s law firms, big and small, and enjoyed entertaining lawyers, clients and his staff with stories of some of his more memorable examinations or with random tales of bear hunt adventures and fishing charter escapades thrown in just to keep things interesting. And it would be remiss to not mention that Ron had a joke for every occasion and never forgot a punchline!
You will be missed, kind sir, we will do our level best to keep on keeping on in your honour. P.S., I promise not to burn the place down, Boss man.

I first met Ron in 1994 at a meeting that preceded the formation of "The Sporting Clubs of Niagara". He was the club's first President and our friendship lasted from then until now. Ron was clever, generous, gregarious, well informed and was never shy about his opinions which, more often than not, proved to be correct. He did not suffer fools lightly but you could not find a more steadfast friend. He was a sportsman who loved hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors.
I am thankful to God that I was able to see him just a day before he passed when even with his health issues he was his usual jovial self.
My deepest condolences to his family and especially to Reny who has been his dependable and faithful companion for the past 10 years.
Rest well my good friend. I am going to miss you terribly and life will be less interesting with you gone.

Deepest condolences to his children Heather, Brian and Brad and his caring friend Reny. Ron was a true friend. I worked with Ron on the St. Catharines Game & fish Association. Also assisted on his charter boat. We spent many great times with Ron and Eleanor at weddings and evening dinners. The memories of fishing hours with Ron and the companionship will forever be treasured . He'll be greatly missed by many.

Ron was one of the founders of the St. Catharines Game & Fish Association's Salmon Derby. He was a Past President of that group and during his time on the Board along with others developed and built the Game & Fish Launch Ramp in Port Dalhousie. I too have so many memories of Ron and his rapier wit. His integrity was beyond reproach. His love for his family and friends were both deep and massive. I remember the so many hours visiting with him at the Official Examiners Office discussing everything hunting and fishing and much more. Meeting so many of his trusted friends and family who visited his desk. Those were great times.
You will be missed my friend. My condolences to your family and to Reny who watched over you and your beautiful wife Eleanor when she was in need. See you on the other side. Enjoy the fishing.
