Ronald Ivan Ransom, Sr., 72 years, of Elkton, MD, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Heartland Hospice House of Wilmington, DE. Born April 29, 1944 in Port Deposit, MD, he was the son of the late Robert and Roberta Webster Ransom.
Ronald worked for Pirelli Corporation, Road Runner Transportation and Chesapeake Service Center. He is survived by his children, Ronald Ivan Ransom Jr., Dorie Ransom and Norvil Tate; siblings, Robert Webster and wife, Regina, Donald Ransom, Christopher Ransom, Juanita Clark, Margurette Webster, Christine White and Susan Felder.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church building fund in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 12 Noon, at Cokesbury United Methodist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017, 10 AM until 12 Noon, at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment will be private.
