Ronald Sal Obituary
Bentheim - Ronald Lee Sal, 67, of Bentheim, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021.
Ron was born October 28, 1953, in Zeeland, to Silas and Henrietta (Pohler) Sal. He graduated from Holland Christian High School and married Nancy Smeyers November 11, 1977. They are members of Bentheim Reformed Church and raised their three children in Bentheim. Ron worked for over twenty years at Prince Machine. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Allen Sal.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy, children: Christina and Kevin Long of Howell. Jason Sal of Holland, Travis Sal of Hamilton; two grandsons: Connor Long, Owen Long; brothers: Stan and Linda Sal, Larry and Sue Sal, in-laws: Jan and Jerad Syswerda, Garry and Sharon Smeyers, Roger and Linda Smeyers, and many extended family.
A funeral service to honor the faith and life of Ron Sal will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 30, 2021, at Bentheim Reformed Church, 3997 38th Street, Hamilton MI 49419. Visitation is 4-7 pm, Thursday at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland MI 49464. Interment will be in Bentheim Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or the American Heart Association. www.yntemafh.com

Nancy and family, I am sorry that Ron is gone but happy that he is with the Lord. I have good memories from childhood playing in the barn and getting into mischief with Ron and his brothers. Cousins can be so fun. And Ron always displayed a winsome smile--a lovely Christian man. No wonder you will miss him. Praying for God's comfort for you all.
