Rosa Fernandez Obituary
Rosa V. Fernández born May 30, 1924,entered into rest on Sept. 22, 2015, at the age of 91. She was an active member of the Christ the King Choir, Guadalupanas, Altar society, Rosary Ministries, Holy Name Society Auxiliary and COPS. She worked for Chandler Nursing Homes. Her favorite job was a child care provider. She is preceded in death by husband, Roberto Fernández; She is survived by daughter, Mary Esther Benavides; sons, Robert P. Fernández (Alice)and Daniel Fernández(Melinda); grandchildren, Xavier S.J., Joshua, Angela, Roberta, Tina, John, Dora, Anita, Daniel Jr.; 16 great-grandchildren; and extended loving family and friends. Special thanks to caregivers Mary Rooman, Lina & Flor Guerra, Minerva Villegas, & David Hernandez. Thank you Gentiva Hospice, Morningside Manor and her friends, the Staff of the Fourth Wing. Visitation will be at Castillo Mission Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Procession departs at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, for a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at San Fernando II Mausoleum.

Dear Esther & Robert & Family --Receive our deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother whom we knew for so long. Please accept my condolences on the passing of Rosa. She was a wonderful Mother in Law. It was an honor to have known such a great person and I will truly miss her. May God embrace you in his arms and comfort all of you during this difficult time. I know that God has opened his arms of welcome for Rosa because she was angel to me and she did wonderful things while she was on this earth.

Rosa a beautiful caring, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandmother. Thank you for welcoming me into your family from the first day I met you. I will always remember the love and kindness you showed to me just like a mother does. Thank you for being a wonderful mother to my husband and grandmother to my chidren. I will miss you.
