Rose Eliuk of Calgary, passed away on October 28, 2015 at the age of 95 years. Rose is survived by two sons, John (Helen Makar) Eliuk of Calgary and William (Jane) Eliuk of Camrose; her grandchildren, Debbie (Brian) Scott of Beaumont, AB, Doug (Margo Farnsworth) Eliuk of Calgary, Amber Makar of Vancouver, BC, Desi Makar of Calgary, Sarah (Daniel) Hirsekorn, of Edmonton, and her great-grandchildren, Christina Scott, Michelle Scott both of Calgary, and Jordon Hirsekorn, Sierra Hirsekorn both of Edmonton, She is also survived by three sisters, Mary Ewasiuk of Edmonton, Alice Shandruk of Calgary and Victoria Hunka of Edmonton and a brother-in-law, Alex Slevinsky of Edmonton. Rose was predeceased by her husband John; her parents, Nicholas and Jennie Malanchuk, a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Malanchuk and sister, Bess Slevinsky and three brothers-in-law, Charlie Ewasiuk, Victor Shandruk, and Bill Hunka. Funeral Services will be held in Edmonton in late November. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family wishes to express a special thanks to staff of Southwood Hospice for the care they gave to our Mom. In living memory of Rose Eliuk, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

John, I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother. Your mom and mine were friends for many, many years. I remember them visiting each other when I was about 3 or 4 years of age when we would play together; about 72 years ago. My sincere condolences to you and your brother, Bill.

Rose/Mom was a very special lady, she was very strong and independent and became even more loving as each year passed. She always had room in her heart for an increasing extended family. We are sending our sincerest sympathy to her family and friends. We loved her and will miss her.
