Ruth Morley Obituary
Age 56, of Tequesta, FL passed away on April 29, 2013. Born in Miami FL, on September 7, 1957 to Ann Francis Roberts Morley and (U.S Marine Corps. Colonel) Richard James Morley she graduated from Spring Hill College, Mobile, AL with a BS in Computer Science and spent her career as an IT Analyst. Most recently she established a giclee business to continue the artistic legacy of her much admired mother, the well known artist "Frantic Ann". Her happiest times were spent on the water whether sailing competitively on Mobile Bay or cruising along with her beloved friends. Her grace, talent and artistic flair were reflective in her home and garden where she had a gift for creating warm and beautiful spaces. She also had a passion for animals and over the years opened her heart and her home providing a loving refuge to many rescue dogs, including River, her most recent companion.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to honor her memory sisters Jane Elizabeth Morley of Borrego Springs CA. and Susan Margaret Ecenia (Steve) of Tallahassee, FL; and brothers Samuel John Morley (Susan) of Tallahassee FL and John "Jack" Morley of Denver, CO.; nieces Anne Morley of Tallahassee FL and Alexandra Ecenia of New York, NY and nephews Augustus Morley of Tallahassee, FL and Samuel Ecenia of Boulder, CO.
Ruth was a beloved sister and friend who still lives in the hearts of those who cherish her memory.

Ruth is my cousin and in reading what others have said about her...I wish I'd made an effort to know her as an adult. But now my chance is gone, and I hope she's smiling and happy as she reads this.

I served with Ruth for 5 years as colleague in the workplace. She was a very strong and independent woman with a very compassionate heart. I am saddened by her passing and take comfort that she is now at peace. I will always remember her for her sharp wit and spontaneous personality. My sincere condolences to the Morley family for their loss.

Oh Ruthie... smart, funny, beautiful and loved by everyone who knew you. You had no idea how very special you were and how much sadness would follow the loss of you. I am terribly saddened by Ruthie's passing. Even though I had not spoken to Ruthie for many years, I always remembered her as one of the sweetest and genuine persons I knew while I was at Spring Hill College and later when she was living on Palm Beach Island. I will always cherish the memorable times we shared with our fellow Spring Hill brothers & sisters in Mobile, Bay of St. Louis, Pensacola Beach, Destin, West Palm Beach and Miami. My deepest condolescences to all the remaining Family members. Susan, Jack and Sam, I'm not sure you will remember me after so many years but I met you guys during your visits to Mobile or when I visited and stayed at your parents home in Cherry Point,North Carolina.Ruthie was a truly special person who will be missed by those who had the pleasure to know her and have been her friend.
