Salvador Contreras

Sal is someone I come to know at the LaGrange Planet Fitness. We spoke now and then as we ran into each other during our weekday workouts but he never spoke of his many talents. Sadly I won't be able to learn more about him and his many hobbies. He was always a nice soft spoken fellow when we chatted during our weekday workouts. My condolences to his wife and family.

Keep rocking and painting in the Spirit Realm Uncle Sal, the coolest uncle I ever had and so, so talented. Photo is taken from when I visited in 1986 when VIVA was in full swing and a welcoming Marg and Sal (and sooo many cats!) made my stay so memorable. XX

Sal's talent was shared with our daughter Susie so freely and generously. She learned to play guitar and ukulele with his guidance and patience. Cory and Margaret are so lovely and our arms are open wide sending hugs and comfort in this terrible time for you both. Sal gave Susie a watercolor of horses that we have and cherish.

Cuando lo conoci yo me acaba de casar con su primo Guido Lamboglia Contreras..al conocer me encanto su alegria de vivir. Se veia una persona lista para luchar por sus sueños. Mi trato fue corto pero no olvidado.

Sal made the world a brighter place and I´m so sorry he is no longer with us in body. I thank my Uncle for his love and kindness from across the oceans. His love for his family meant everything to us. Rest in peace Uncle Sal. Forever in our hearts.

Jr will always be in my heart and present in my life as my guardian angel. I will always be grateful to him for taking care of us, his siblings, when our parents were gone. I loved his messages full of love and spirituality that we shared, and in that way, we also felt united despite the distance. Rest in peace now, brother, filled with the light that illuminates people as special as you are. I love you very much. Hugs and strength to Margaret and Corey.

Primo querido la verdad te digo nunca me espere esta partida tan rápido de tu parte pero así lo quizo Dios, ya estas en esa otra dimensión disfrutando con el resto de la familia, tía Cecy, tío Salvador y los abuelos y demás tíos y primos, se que seguirás deleitando a todos nuestros seres en esa dimensión con tu música y tus obras de arte, eras un artista genuino y original, siempre recordaré las conversaciones por messenger después de haberte visto en persona desde muchos años atrás que viniste de visita a Panamá, nos reunimos contigo en casa de Clarisa y Toño y el resto de la familia y disfrutamos de tu presencia, nos deleitaste con tu música y las conversaciones y la alegría que pudimos compartir, gracias por todo, besos y abrazos hasta el cielo!!! Fly high dear cousin as you always did, in what you set out to do. At some point we will meet again to share topics and experiences as we always did in Panama.

Tío Jr querido, fuiste el mejor, siempre recordaré lo mucho que nos cuidaste, atendiste con tanto amor y nos llevaste a tantos lugares lindos en Vermont junto con tía Margaret, cuando fui con mi mamá y luego con mi amiga Adriana.
Esas tardes de galletitas de chocolate chip tan ricas y todos los cuidados que me diste cuando me caí esquiando y quedé con un ojo cerrado , me atendieron con tanto amor y cariño gracias, gracias gracias por todo y por tanto.
No pudimos vernos mucho, pero tengo tantos recuerdos lindos de ti que jamás olvidaré, siempre estás en mis oraciones , en mi memoria y en mi corazón! Te quiero mucho tío Jr , espérame cuando me toque la hora y pásame recogiendo con mi abuelita a esa gran rumba que seguro tendrás en el cielo .

Stephen and I love Sal beyond words! He was one of the kindest people I know and was always there to help or make you laugh when you were having a bad day. Our sincerest condolences and lots of love to Margaret, Corey and all his family and friends. <3
