SANDY J. DESPER, 62, died on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Surviving are her husband, David Desper of Kendall ville; son, Chris (Julie) Desper of Kendall ville; daughter, Amy (Jon) DeWitt of Avilla; son, Matt Desper of Kendall ville; seven grandchildren, Ryan and Kayla Desper, Tristan and Mya DeWitt, Oakley and Brock Kerst, and Alyssa Desper; mother, Donna Schmidt of Kendallville; brother, Stan (Michele) Schmidt of Kendallville; sister-in-law, Michelle Schmidt of Bristol; brother-in-law, Dennis Desper of Albion; sister-in-law, Shelley Swihart of Wabash; brother-in-law, Doug (Kim) Desper of Kendallville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul John Schmidt, in 1993; brother, Terry Schmidt, in 2004; and a brother-in-law, Steve Desper, in 2005. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Kendallville. Visitation is from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville.
