We graduated high school more than forty years ago, but I clearly remember Scott not simply for his great mind, but more for being a great friend to me. Scott and I attended many Montreal Expos baseball games at Olympic Stadium. He also lined up a summer job for me at Gray Electric working for his relative Rick Halpern. May God richly bless Scott and his family for his amazing life and legacy.

For three decades, Scott was a loyal and generous supporter of the Cancer Research Society. As an employee of the Society, I was fortunate to know Scott for over fifteen years. He was always kind and polite and also possessed a wonderful sense of humour. Our entire organization was tremendously saddened by his passing. We extend our deepest condolences to all those whose lives he touched.

Such sad news. Scott and I were friends from early elementary school days, at Iona Avenue School,(and piano classes)to university days at McGill. He had a heart of gold, a gentle soul, a brilliant student with a contagious smile. My sincere condolences to his family.

Scott and I were friends through high school and young adulthood. Sadly, we lost touch. Scott was a devoted friend, a kind and gentle soul who always had time for others. Despite his extraordinary brilliance he was humble and patient. My condolences to Scott's family.

Scott was a lovely and kind neighbour on my 11th floor apartment on Heath Street W. He always had a friendly hello, and sometimes we'd cross paths visiting family between Toronto and Montreal. My sympathies to his family.

Scott and I were high school classmates. He was decent, kind, and unfailingly in good spirits. He was nothing short of "brilliant", that's for sure. But more than that, he was intellectually honest. He listened as much to his heart as to his head -- in his personal choices, in his professional choices, in his love of an interesting question, and in his taste for a good puzzle. I am so sorry that I lost touch with him, in the last few years. He was a fine person and a dear friend. My sincere condolences to Scott's family.

Scott was a West Hill High School friend of mine. He was a fine and gentle soul, not to mention brilliant. I am so sorry to hear that he has passed away and sad that we did not reconnect. My condolences to the family.
