Scott Elliott Obituary
Mr. Elliott was born October 26, 1966 in McDowell County, NC to Hoyle Dean Elliott and Mona Lee Ricketts. He was baptized at Sunny Vale Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and storyteller, he loved the Dallas Cowboys and he was beloved by his family.
Surviving Mr. Elliott is his Father, Hoyle Dean Elliott, of Marion Wife, Sabrina Iline Gardner Elliott of the home, Daughter, Coralina Maree Elliott, of Marion, Son, Brandon Brooks Gardner, of Marion, three brothers and two sisters; Donna Willis, husband Doug, of Marion, Marty Elliott, wife Danya, of Marion, Deanna Moody, husband Larry, of Madison, VA, Larry Elliott, of Marion, and Spencer Elliott, of Marion, 1 Grandchild, Piper Lin Gardner, 11 Nieces and Nephews, and 10 Great-Nieces and Nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 M on Friday January 18, 2013 at McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Gentry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Simmons Cemetery.

Memories of those we love help us make it through times of sorrow. There are many stories to tell about Scott but no one will ever be able to tell them as good as he could. With a little grin and a bit of stretching of the truth that is the Scott I will always remember and love. And as I was told Friday "Low Shoulder" that was a classic. Love you all

If Clarence the Angel was correct when he said "no man is a failure who has friends" then Scott Elliott was exceedingly successful. There was easily more than 250 people at his memorial speaking so fondly and lovingly of him. Indeed he must of touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed by all.

My heart breaks for this loss. I love you my cousins, and though time and life have changed, that love never will. I remember much happiness spent with y'all, Christmas eves at Mammy's and picnis up on Curtis Creek, and hiding and hunting Easter eggs at your house. We all have grown and changed and moved on and have our own lives to live. My one prayer above all others is that each of you will look to God for peace and comfort during this time and for the rest of your lives and that through Scott's passing your love for each other will be made stronger. My prayers are that God will comfort the whole family as you each try to deal with this loss. I had only seen Scott once since graduating from high school but we had lots of good times during those school years. Because Scott was a part of them or as a result of some little antic of his, they are all good memories. He will be missed.
