Sean Paul Walsh left us suddenly on August 23, 2022 at the age of 39. Sean will be remembered as a loving father, husband, brother, uncle and friend who always took the greatest joy in simply being with the people he loved. He will be remembered as a person who was always ready to help anyone who needed it. He was a skilled and meticulous tradesman who took tremendous pride and care in his work – whether on the job, setting up his holiday lights and decorations, or building a sandcastle with the kids at the beach.
Sean was born on April 11, 1983 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Austin and Rose Walsh, he moved to Connecticut when he was 1 and grew up in Wallingford, Connecticut. He graduated from Wilcox Technical High School with a specialization in electricity in 2002 where his shop teacher told his parents he had hands of gold. He went on to work as a skilled and certified tradesman.
He met the love of his life, Jill Kobrin, on his birthday in 2009. They were married on December 31, 2016 and together have two boys, Kobrin and Rex. Sean loved being a husband and a father and was known for being ‘a big kid’ himself who loved playing, hiking in the woods and performing physical feats beyond his years.
Sean always brought the fun to any occasion and made sure those around him were having fun too. He was never afraid to be silly or break out into some of his famous dance moves. He will be sorely missed and remembered with great love and fondness. His time with us was much too short.
He is survived by his two sons, Kobrin Michael Walsh (8) and Rex Paul Walsh (4); his wife, Jill Elizabeth Kobrin; his parents Austin K. Walsh and Rose E. Walsh; his brother Conor K. Walsh and Conor’s partner, Jennifer Miller; his sister Amber Walsh and her daughter Ella; his mother and father-in-law, Paul Kobrin and Patricia Kobrin and his brother-in-law and niece, Gregg Kobrin and his daughter Capri Kobrin.
Semi-Private services for family and close friends will be held at First United Methodist Church. A celebration of Sean's life will be scheduled for Spring of 2023. In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to an education fund and grief counseling services for Sean's children, Kobrin Walsh & Rex Walsh. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford.

I'm so sorry to hear about Sean. In 5th grade we were best friends and got into all sorts of adventures together. He was always cracking jokes, laughing and having a good time. That's how I remember him - with a mischievous sparkle and a perpetual love of all things fun, funny and boyish. 5th grade was so memorable because of how good of friends we were. We would go to the BMX track together, jump on the trampoline and perpetually be running from his older brother - it seemed to be a favorite past time of Sean's! We had a band called Dive that played at a pig roast and a talent show at Dag. It was all a boyhood dream and I'm so happy to have been able to share that with him, and I know that he lives on in my memories as the boyhood friend I always had. My sincerest condolences to Rose, Austin, Connor, Amber and Sean's wife and children whom I have yet to meet. My heart goes out to you all and I hope to make it for the ceremony in the spring.

I do remember Sean as a fun loving child during his years as a child and teen. Remember the times he would be in the family room with Mark Anderson, Tim Platt and my sons Brian and Scott Aiken. and they would be in their music world.

I am very saddened by the news of Sean's passing.
Although I have not seen him in many years, I can still see his huge smile when I remember back to softball games and camping trips.
He was ALWAYS a joy to be around!
My prayers go out to all that were touched by such a good "kid".
God bless and rest in peace.

Sean,
Most of our time together was spent in the woods,on a river or with the company of a camping party. From now on when I see that lone mountain on the Vermont ridge. I will think of you. That peak will live rent free in my mind as 'Sean's mountain '
Love you buddy. Rest at peace.

I am so sad to hear this news and wished it was more fake news. I met Sean through friends and he was only in my life for a few years but he was always a very nice, considerate, funny and all around good guy from a good family. I haven´t seen Sean in years now but I was very happy to hear that he was doing so well a couple of years ago. This news is terrible and my heart breaks for his children and family and I pray that they take a little comfort in the endless good memories they undoubtedly have of him. Rest easy Sean, you will be missed. And to the family please remember to take care of yourselves during this awful time. Too many people forget.
