To All Family Members of Serge, I am deeply sorry for your loss. It is sad to part from anyone, and especially difficult to bid farewell to a special person, and I know that Serge was special to all in his family. It is sad to think of the Orthodox Five without Serge.

My Uncle Serge was a very special man that we loved so very much. His love for music, church and kids of all ages transcends many and was an example to everyone around him. We were blessed to be able to know such a man, and what a wonderful sense of humour too!
God bless always and may he rest peacefully...

Mr. Lopushinsky leaves behind him a true legacy. He touched the hearts of many students who honestly grew to love and respect him. He had a presence that set people at ease. I myself had the honor of his teachings and my two oldest children attended his classes as well. What I learned from him over 20 years ago has certainly led to a successful career. I was always impressed at how you could meet up with him anytime and he remembered your name...20 some years later...he genuinely cared for his students. Thank you Mr. Lop.
You live on in the hearts of many.

God Bless You and give you Strength during this time. The loss of Serge was a shock...just too young. Irene, you do not know me but my mother (Anne Bulek (Kowalchuk) was a close family friend of Serges mother/father. I am also a cousin of Bill Holden. I remember fondly the visits to the farm.."chatting" with "the teacher" and eating "huge" shrimp that Serge always brought from the states for Sophie to cook. My prayers to you and all the family. God Bless.

Serge was one of the great guys! Played with the SWINGSTERS band for ~ 30 years and was one of Alberta's finest musicians. On behalf of all of the Gargus's, we loved Serge and respected him as everyone else did. Can't really say enough good things about him.

What a sad day.
What a great loss.
I knew Lop as a staple in the halls of Fort High, a friendly face and a teacher highly regarded by the decades of students that streamed past him. The multitude of lives he has touched speaks volumes about the man he was.
My deepest sympathies ~

Lopushinsky Family:
I was shocked to hear about "Lop" or "Sam" accidental passing. I fondly remember him as a teacher in High School in the late 70's. He taught me shorthand and typing. He was always there with an open door and ears to anyone who cared to venture in and talk. He truly listened and cared.
He will be missed but never forgotten as he will live on in hearts and memories.

As a beginning teacher at Fort High, Serge was an inspiration to me when we taught together in the Business Ed department. The wit and gentle rapport he modelled every day were a foundation in me becoming the teacher that I am today. His memory will always be with me.

My deepest sympathy, in the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. May your wonderful memories give you peace during this very difficult time.
Mr. Lopushinky was the best teacher I ever have. He gave me some wonderful memories of high school. When some kids were rude to me, he alway said the right thing to the class. He was a wonderful teacher, with his humor and kindness.
God only takes the best so young.

I send you my deepest and most sincere sympathy on the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. He taught me in high school (typing class) and he worked with my mum at the Fort Sask Senior High for many years. He was such a gentle soul and most definitely the favorite teacher in the school. Both my mother and I had a deep respect for him as a teacher and as a person. When my father passed away in 1986, shortly after mum's retirement, Serge was so kind to attend my dad's funeral. I feel so terrible for you with your loss, my heart goes out to you. He will be missed by ALOT of people, please take care.
