Obituary

Sharon Lynne Stoddard, beloved daughter, passed away on April 1, 2025 in Port Orange, FL at the age of 55.

Sharon was born at the 32-bed Army hospital in Kagnew Station, Asmara, Ethiopia on September 20, 1969 to Specialist 4 Ronald Stoddard and Mrs. Jeanne Stoddard. .

After coming home from Ethiopia, Sharon lived with her parents and brother in Whitman, Massachusetts.

After graduating from Whitman-Hanson High School, she moved to Port Orange, Florida near her grandparents, Catherine & Alvin Stoddard(now deceased) to attend to Daytona Beach Community College.

Sharon loved Port Orange and decided to stay. She started working as a Phlebotomist and loved working with people. Sharon was very well liked and continued for many years as a Phlebotomist at Labcorp, and several area hospitals.

Sharon loved cats and dogs and adopted many rescue animals.

As she got older, her injuries from an accident in her youth and fibromyalgia symptoms became much worse, which resulted in a broken ankle, followed by a staph infection and a below the knee amputation. Sharon was unable to work, but continued to be a great friend and inspiration to many people.

Sharon was involved in an organization called Amp-Champs and was becoming a large part of it. She was always so excited when she went surfing for the first time, as well as axe throwing! She was looking forward for the next surfing event (even though she might get her hair wet!)

She is survived by her mother Jeanne Kendall-Eassa of North Chelmsford, MA, and her stepfather Roy Eassa, as well as a nephew, several cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Ron Stoddard of Port Orange, FL. and her brother, Douglas Stoddard of Orange, CA.

A graveside service was held for her at St. Paul Cemetery on Hersey Street, Hingham, Ma. On Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
