Grandma u will be missed by everyone. There will always be a special place in my heart for u. We used to have so much fun together, but the best memory I have of u is when we rode bikes to mr freeze. I was amazed by ur artistic ability, and u always had such a big smile. Can't beleive ur gone

I met Shirley way back in 1975 when I was in high school. If first impressions count most, mine was of the warm embrace I felt upon entering their home … you were always welcome, treated like one of the family … something few households I have ever been in poses.
Knowing as much about the world as your average high school student, I knew even then that Shirley was a special person. She always had a smile, a kind word and a positive outlook on whatever was happening.
I have no doubt that Shirley's memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all she touched. My sympathy to George, Jean, Mark and all those who are left to carry on without her.
Shirley Franicevic, a warm, caring sole who brought happiness to all those around her.

My Aunt Shirley was one one of the nicest and kindest personsI ever knew. I can never recall her being cross or abrupt. She always manifested a true love for her family -- my Uncle George and cousins Jean and Mark. She always impressed me with her intelligence, ability, and artistic skills. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends.

Remembering my friend's dear mother... a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was an artist, and a kind and wise soul - she will always be remembered and dearly missed here on this earth. I wish comfort and blessings to all her family and friends.

Your mother was always ready for any adventure that we would come up with! I remember her helping us with May baskets and helped us make homemade apricot jam when we found those growing in the wild woods of Marengo! She was always there ready with a smile and a helping hand! She will be missed, I feel very blessed to have known your mother. Thank you for sharing her with me!

We were deeply saddened to read about Shirley's passing. She was always so sweet and certainly George and her were a Marengo presence to our family and in the community for all they did. Our children will always remember her being with "Santa Claus"! Our hearts and prayers go out to you. May God hold you in the palm of His hand and give you peace.

We will always remember the kindnesses that Shirley and George showed to the seniors in the Marengo area. Our late mom Francis Haba and her dear friend Ruth Wagner loved the bus outings that you supervised. We send our healing thoughts to George, Jeanie and the entire Franicevic family.

Our Unit, Kishwaukee Unit 192, of the American Legion Auxiliary, was proud to have Shirley as a member. She held the position of treasurer for 2 years, and did a great job. She always had a smile and loved to share it with everyone around her. She will be missed by friends and family.

Mom.....We all feel a great loss now that you are not with us anymore.
I miss you just being there and smiling at me.....but I truly know you are happy, singing with the angels, enjoying your mother and father who were taken so early from us. Christmas Day must have been spectacular up in heaven!
We were not able to tell you that you have another great-grandbaby on the way, due July 19. Altho we know in our hearts your spirit will be there to rejoice at that special time, and will forever be here with us.

I will remember Shirley's extraordinary smile, friendliness, and hospitality. When I was new to town and church she made sure I was welcomed and did not feel left out, invited me over to her home for lunch. I haven't seen Shirley lately, but will always remember her fondly. Thank God there is a heaven where Shirley is now, and we will connect again one day. Love you Shirley!! George and family, I am so sorry for your loss, I pray that the Lord will bring comfort to you during this time of grieving. All our love,
